Mechanical strength and interlocking device of stainless steel reaction vessel Sep 12, 2018

In order to prevent the ingress and egress of the stainless steel reaction vessel from being burned and exploded due to the static spark when the stainless steel reaction vessel is used, the reaction vessel, the pipeline and the appliance shall be connected by a conductor, and then grounded. The grounding wire must be firmly connected, have sufficient mechanical strength, and be inspected regularly. The transport of liquid materials should also limit the generation of static electricity by controlling the flow rate. When discharging from the reaction vessel, vacuum discharge is preferred. When the loading and unloading port is opened, the sealing measures should be adopted as much as possible. If it is not possible, a mobile exhaust hood should be installed for ventilation.

The stainless steel reaction vessel shall be provided with an automatic interlocking system for accident prevention, such as an interlocking device for material temperature and catalyst addition, and a pressure or temperature limit adjustment alarm device. When the parameter is out of the safe range, automatic adjustment can be made immediately. If the adjustment is invalid, an alarm signal can be issued to notify the operator to take emergency measures to eliminate the fault. If the fault is improper or not timely, the automatic control system can issue commands such as switching, venting, and extinguishing fire. Those with greater risk can also use double and triple protection.

The venting tube of the stainless steel reaction vessel should generally be placed at the top, and the venting tube installed in the indoor container should be led out of the room. The venting pipe should have a height higher than 2m above the highest equipment operated by some people nearby, and ensure that the concentration of flammable gas discharged is within the safe range. After the discharge, the combustible gas that may be immediately burned should be cooled by the cooling device and then connected to the venting facility. Flame arresters or other flame-limiting equipment should be installed on the venting tube to prevent the gas from igniting at the outlet of the pipe and allowing the flame to diffuse into the process unit.
