The carbon steel shell and tube condenser usually uses ammonia as the refrigerant and adopts a regenerative cycle, which includes four stages, namely compression, condensation, expansion and evaporation. In the compression phase, the low-pressure, low-temperature steam generated in the evaporator is sucked into the compressor cylinder by the compressor, and the temperature is increased after being compressed. The high temperature and high pressure steam then enters the condenser for cooling, and the heat is released to change from gas to liquid ammonia.

These liquid ammonia is then continuously stored in the ammonia storage device. After being used by the expansion valve, the pressure and temperature are lowered and enter the evaporator. The steam is then vaporized in the evaporator by absorbing the surrounding heat and then sucked in by the compressor to form a cycle. In general, the horizontal carbon steel shell condenser has the characteristics of compact structure and good heat transfer effect.

The design of the carbon steel shell and tube condenser is a multi-program structure in the tube, the cooling water is taken away, and the steam is taken away. The multi-tube arrangement is used to heat the heat transfer film coefficient and increase the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet, thereby reducing the amount of cooling water.
